Conforming to Web Standards

Standards Compliant - HTML 4.01 Strict

The latest version of The FMCompany's website has been developed to be fully compliant with the web standards set out by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).

Platform Independence

By using valid HTML and CSS code we are ensuring that pages will display properly in standards-compliant browsers, regardless of the platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) or the device (PC, Palm, PDA).

Accessibility

The page's content and layout code are separated, meaning the layout specified by the designer can be overridden to make the pages easier to view - e.g. text size can be increased or decreased, text colour varied or styling totally removed.

Upgrade your Browser

If the site does not display correctly, we encourage you to upgrade your browser to a standards-compliant one (e.g. latest versions of Firefox (recommended), Opera, Safari, Flock). Older browsers do not support web standards and problems with these browsers will increase as technology advances. As this is not possible for all users (due to organisational decisions), the website will be fully accessible and readable, but may not look as the designer intended.

Problems & Feedback

If you have upgraded and certain areas are still not displaying correctly, please fill out the form explaining what problems you are having and we will try to rectify it as soon as we can.
