What is an application service provider (ASP)?

An ASP deploys, hosts and manages access to a packaged application to multiple parties from a centrally managed facility. The applications are delivered over networks on a subscription basis. This delivery model speeds implementation, minimizes the expenses and risks incurred across the application life cycle, and overcomes the chronic shortage of qualified technical personnel available in-house

What is a data centre?

A data centre is where the information is stored, it is the facility, which in reality owns and manages the servers, facility and infrastructure ready for the client to pull the information into their desktop.

Are there specific places I can access my data from?

You can access your data from anywhere in the world as long as you have a web browser and your username and password.

How safe is my data?

The data is protected by Colt's latest technology and to stop others using your information, data flow between the user and the data centre is encrypted.

What does CMMS stand for?

Computerised maintenance management solution.

What does CAFM stand for?

Are ASP solutions quicker to implement than a software solution?

Whilst some CMMS and CAFM software packages can take up to two years to implement within large organisations, when using an ASP model it can be reduced to practically nothing due to the low amount of set up needed.
